Monitor your battery as you fly! Works much better on the bench, though.
About Real Reviews
Real reviews are unbiased product reviews. I pay the full retail price for every product I test. The review was not endorsed in any way, shape, or form. In other words, nobody is paying me to write nice reviews of their products.
In the most part, these are products that I use and like. But I do not hesitate to mention any issues or drawbacks to using them. I do not sugarcoat it. My goal is to be a reliable source of information. These are real reviews.

I have something similar with two speakers and LED’s for the cells. It’s loud on the ground, but near impossible to hear in the air. It’s more of a super annoying battery checker lol.
When I bench tested it, I thought I would at least be able to see the LED. Indoors, it looked very bright. Not a chance. You could barely see it on the airplane, and that was with the airplane just a couple of feet from me!
a better alternative is a plane locator device, which is just a speaker plugged into an extra channel. Again, it’s only useful on the ground, but good if you have to deadstick it into tall grass. But good too if you happen to look away and lose your plane in the sky; just turn off your throttle and turn on the locator and you can usually find the plane up there if you listen and look hard enough. It’s still not good to ever take your eye of your plane though.
That’s a clever way of finding the airplane in the sky. Reminds me of when the Parkzone Vapor first came out and it was really popular. There would be half a dozen flying indoors, and you could always count on somebody getting confused about which one was theirs…
